Mike & Jan, who bought 'The Beer Engine Pub & Brewery' in December 2005.

Mike's background is a retired army chef after serving 23 years. He's catered for VIPs including royalty - and the queen. he retired in 1998 and in 1999 we bought our first pub 'The Bird in Hand' in the Forest of Dean in Glos. We bought 'The Beer Engine' in December 2005 which included the Micro-brewery. Mike is a local chap and comes from St Thomas in Exeter. Jan is an ex-civil servant working within the MoD and comes from Lincoln.
